Ready when you are.

From your first call to admitting almost always takes less than 24 hours. Approval within 2-3 hours is our goal, with intake typically scheduled for the next morning between 9-10am - same day when possible.

First call

What happens when you reach us

01

1. Initial call (15+ minutes)

Admissions gathers essential information - name, date of birth, insurance - and as much background as possible to confirm R&R Recovery can help.

02

2. Verification of benefits (1-2 hours)

If you have health insurance, VOB is completed immediately after the initial call during insurer business hours (typically Mon-Fri 8am-5pm). Online portals may be used for urgent after-hours admissions.

03

3. Second call

Right after VOB, the admissions counselor calls back with insurance results and schedules the pre-admission assessment.

04

4. Pre-admission assessment

A phone assessment with an R&R counselor or therapist confirms fit and gathers information used to build your treatment team and treatment plan before you arrive.

05

5. Final approval & scheduling

Approved clients are scheduled for intake, typically the next morning between 9-10am. If not approved, we hand off to a vetted facility that can help - detox, higher level of care, or another appropriate provider.

Timeline & privacy

From initial call to admitting almost always takes less than 24 hours - approval within 2-3 hours is the goal. All conversations are confidential; see our HIPAA Notice for how protected health information is handled.

You don't have to know exactly what to say. One call starts it.

Who outpatient care is open to

  • Adults 18 and up seeking outpatient addiction treatment
  • Men, women, and LGBTQ clients - dedicated therapist match from a team of 4
  • Medically stable enough for PHP, IOP, or extended care
  • Co-occurring mental health conditions welcome when clinically appropriate
  • Not appropriate: immediate detox need, acute mental health crisis, or under 18

Information we may ask for

Name, phone, email, insurance carrier, member ID (optional), and a brief clinical history relevant to level-of-care matching. We do not need full medical records on the first call.

Review our HIPAA Notice and Privacy Policy.

Payment options

R&R Recovery is in-network with Blue Shield of California, TriCare, and Magellan, and accepts many major carriers out-of-network - including Anthem, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Beacon/Carelon, and Aetna. Private pay rates and payment plans are available for every level of care so cost does not stand between you and treatment.

Safety & fit

  • If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.
  • R&R Recovery provides outpatient levels of care - PHP, IOP, extended care, and group therapy - for adults who are medically stable enough for day treatment.
  • When a higher level of care is clinically appropriate, admissions will help with referral to a vetted provider that can meet that need.
